Ian Walsh is a typical pooka. He follows his whims wherever they lead. Unfortunately, they’ve led him into a dungeon cell in Herne the Hunter’s mysterious and deadly castle. And Ian’s not alone–his friend Rudy Boudreaux is trapped with him. Worse yet, Herne plans to make Ian the prey in the next Wild Hunt.

Luckily, Ian has all sorts of plans to throw the castle into chaos. As soon as he figures out how to get out of his cell, he’ll have Herne and his court running in circles.

Admittedly, the “getting out of his cell” part isn’t going as well as he’d hoped . . .

Enter Jack Sawan, a cool and elegant cat-sìth. He’s got a foolproof plan to get Ian and Rudy  back to the human realm. Sure, Jack’s got one or two little secrets that might become problematic if he stays in Herne’s realm too long. And okay, he might be somewhat susceptible to the call of the Wild Hunt. But if everybody keeps their heads down and follows Jack’s plan to the letter, Ian and Rudy will get home safe and sound and none the wiser.

Jack and Ian only need to cooperate for an hour or two.
